I’ve always been a person that learned as he went, never really asked help or got help weather it was blogging, photoshop or coding I learned on my own. Great list of tips. I agree that writing too often is not a good idea especially if you do not have enough quality content to cover.
I remember the days where I am totally obsessed with stats when I begin to get thousands of visitors everyday. It is really addictive and a waste of time if overdone. I guess all new bloggers will go through this phase eventually.

Really good tips. Probably the most important is to ‘not get in it for the money’, which goes hand in hand with the common problem of ‘monetizing too early’.

I do wonder about holding a contest – I get so many notices about blog contest that I am about sick of them. I think it would have to be something very unique if you want quality participants.
