  2. Great list of tips. I agree that writing too often is not a good idea especially if you do not have enough quality content to cover.

I remember the days where I am totally obsessed with stats when I begin to get thousands of visitors everyday. It is really addictive and a waste of time if overdone. I guess all new bloggers will go through this phase eventually.

Really good tips. Probably the most important is to ‘not get in it for the money’, which goes hand in hand with the common problem of ‘monetizing too early’.

It is so transparent… You know, those blogs that get no traffic but have more ads on the page than content!

    Great list. :-)

@ Chris: haha, yeah no prob for the plugs dude.

@ Wei: Yeah, most people get writers burnout because of it, but as far as that whole stats thing, it’s something every blogger is into especially in the begging when they get jumps in traffic.

@ Shirley: Thanks lol, I hate it when these blogs that barley get afew hits a day slap 6 ads scattered in a post page. It erks me.

    #18 – Take criticism like a man
Sorry but, I just refuse to act that way.

I do wonder about holding a contest – I get so many notices about blog contest that I am about sick of them. I think it would have to be something very unique if you want quality participants.

    Just my 10 cents.
