The New Year is coming fast, and it’s time to get ready by setting your yearly blog goals. Currently i’m doing this for each one of my sites/soon to be sites, for a bunch of reasons, bu the main one is to keep me motivated.

Ok, but why set goals?

1. Goals keep you motivated by challenging you.

If your any thing like me then by setting goals you take them as a challenge which will keep you motivated. As a competitive person I compete against anything or anyone, if you pass me on the highway, you’d better believe i’m gonna catch up to you. So by setting these goals that challenge me, I’m making my self work at achieving them.

2. They give you an idea of what to expect and what to do.

By setting the goals you have a rough idea of what your blog will be like through out the year. Goals also help you set a plan that will guide you to achieving them. Which brings me to my last point.

3. Along with a plan, goals keep you on the right track.

Along with the a plan that help you achieve your goals, goals keep you on track for the year and they keep you moving forward.

Setting your goals.

I like to separate my blog goals into 6 categories. Post goals, traffic goals, rank goals, subscriber goals, and miscellaneous goals but most people like to add an earning goal. I personally like to add my earning goal to my personal goals, not my blogging goals.
